Well umm let’s see. I got my ears pierced again today, almost fainted as per usual. I think my subconscious is a psycho wimp. I mean wtf, it did NOT hurt that much. When I got my first holes it didn’t really hurt, but for about a year, whenever I took out the earrings/put them it, my vision’d black out and I’d almost faint, would have to lay on the bathroom floor for a minute or two. I recently figured out that if I make it hurt a little, I do better about it. (Nothing about it bothers me on a conscious level, soooo I really don’t know what’s up.) So today I got my second holes, stood up, tried to walk away, vision completely blacked, almost crumpled. I had to sit and do controlled breathing (haha, I know how to handle it -_-) for about ten minutes. Actually, it was around 1:30/2:00 and I hadn’t eaten and hadn’t drank much all day, so it was KIND of understandable but al;djajf it sucks. I ate Subway since it was next door; going outside in the chilly weather helped too.
Um but before that, I had a private lesson at the barn :o We did cross-country jumping, yeah. Puffin was wonderful, he loves it anyway. Apparently I asked for too advanced collection before a little jump, he got angry at me, bucked for about five strides as we were going away from the jump xD;;; I didn’t even realize how much I was making him hold together. We both just learned consistent collection, so it’s habitual for me, annoying for him at the low level we were jumping. So I had to let him stretch out and be a little messy or risk his wrath xD; It’s scary though, not being collected. I mean, at 2’, it’s not really a big deal how collected you are, but he gets excited and is very strong, and if I don’t collect, he zooms. But I suppose, thinking back, I did ask him for A LOT. O_o; But then we jumped a bigger fence, an average 2’7” coop, and he knocked his front legs because guess what, he hadn’t collected enough. Bwahaha lazy pony GOT IT D:
We also have steering issues on jump approaches. I consciously apply even leg pressure but he’s like RIGHT! LEFT! RIGHT! WHEE SIDEWAYS! for some retarded reason. and to make it worse, I have a bad memory on the specific jump I’m aiming for. At my last horse trial, I nearly jumped a set of Novice logs because it was more visible than my Baby Green hay bales D: (Novice: 3ft, Baby Green: 2ft) Haha, I was totally cool about it and everything. “Whoo that one looks fun :D *sees hay bales now* HOMG wrong jump!!! *emergency steering*” I really did want to jump those logs xD (So did Puffin)
I also switched Puffin’s dressage bit (a full cheek snaffle/French link) with Cherokee’s jumping bit to see how that worked out. Hot damn, it’s so wonderful, we actually turn/circle/halfhalt/do upward and downward transitions! I’m so happy that thing is dressage-legal u_u
Haha, I just printed off my dressage test (a wimpy Intro Test B), I’m so not ready for it to be this Saturday. It’s not like I don’t know the test, I’ve done it before, but our dressage is not top notch lately. Ahh well, Kathie said if we hold together okay in dressage, our jumping’ll make up for it.
I think I’m going to get my hair cut later tonight. As cockroach!ruki as the lady can do without a picture xD;; (*NOT printing anything off for her D:*)
